I'm Your Getaway... Ch.6 [Alex Johnson]"Why hello up there!" Marshall shouts. "Mind if I join you with a couple of my friends?" "Yes I do," I mutter under my breath. I looked at Johnson's face and I knew something wasn't right. His face was serious, eyes darting left to right as his nostrils flared. "How many friends did you bring with you Marshall?" Johnson barely whispered. "Just enough," Marshall says. "I want them to meet Siobahn." "Siobahn, we need to get down from this tree now." "Okay," I say as I start to get up but he stops me with the most genuine concerned look on his face. "There are some things I haven't told you yet about me that I was planning on telling you soon in the future. I just want you to know that I would never let anybody hurt you. If I tell you to run, then run as fast as you can. Promise me that." "Why would I run?" I ask him. "What's going on?" "My friends really want to meet you Siobahn," Marshall says. "But they're kind of impatient." "I don't make promises Johnson. But I will promise you that I will run when the time is needed." "You're going to be difficult," Johnson mumbles as he drops easily to the ground. I follow more slowly and Johnson grabs me before placing me behind him. What is going on? I look around Marshall but all I see are trees and bushes. The silence in the park was deadly though. "Well I don't see your friends Marshall," I say quietly. "Where are they?" "They are around here. They think you're real pretty Siobahn," Marshall says. "I don't think you understand when I said to stay away from Siobahn," Johnson sneered. "You know I couldn't resist, Johnson. Why can't you share?" Marshall pouts. "She smells divine." "You really were in the restroom at the pizza place," I say. "First off, have you no manners? And secondly, how did you get out of there so fast?" "I have manners but I was built for speed. You know, speaking of speed has made me quite... hungry. Wanna go grab a bite?" "Don't you dare- "Johnson starts. Silently, the trees moved just a little and then dark shadows appeared on the ground. As they moved closer, I started to see band shirts and converse sneakers. No effing way. "You're friends are the... fans?" I ask him quizzically. "Okay, I was expecting bulky guys with chains and daggers flashing everywhere. I was not expecting little girls." "Siobahn they are more dangerous than you think," Johnson whispers. "They are under hypnosis." "No one can be placed under hypnosis. It's not possible. I took general psychology and I know it's not achievable." "Well it can be achievable if you're a vampire," Johnson mumbles. "Oh... wait what? Alex Marshall is a vampire? That explains why he was so cold..." "Okay usually when I tell girls that he's a vampire, they first become skeptics then when they see his fangs they freak out. Why aren't you freaking out?" Johnson half turns to me with a quizzical brow. "Like I said, it explains everything. His dark eyes, his speed, his hunger... I am in a bit of a shock. But I can take news like that just fine." "Siobahn knows what I am. That makes everything so much easier on me," Marshall sighs and smiles, two pearly whites enlarging out of his mouth. "I'd like for you to meet my right hand. She helps me out with everything. Oh Jen..." The crowd of fans split to show a girl with golden curly brown hair and a fangtastic smile on her rosy cheeks. I remembered seeing her being the closest to Marshall at the barrier during the show. I should have known she would be a vampire. She was very pretty indeed. "So I was right after all," Jen sighs as she stops beside Marshall, staring me down. "She has got to be the sweetest smelling human I've ever sensed since I've been changed. That's a compliment Siobahn." "I changed Jen awhile back... okay maybe a couple of weeks ago. She has a natural born gift of sniffing out the sweetest of the bunch. You are going to be the sweetest I have ever tasted in a decade!" "You're not getting anything from her," Johnson growled as he got into a crouch position. "She is mine." "A little possessive don't you think Johnson? Doesn't matter, I didn't say I was going to grab her." Marshall says as he flips his hair. Every girl crouched in reply, snarling. "I'm mad his hair controls girls. Are they vampires too?" I whisper. "Not unless Marshall deems them fit," Johnson whispers back. "I can't hit them though. I could flick them in the head and crack their skulls." "What are you-extra strong? Well you're the vampire hunter here!" I loudly whisper. "I'll take care of them. You go after Marshall." "Thanks, but I haven't been completely honest with you. Siobahn... I'm a-" "ATTACK!" Marshall shouts. The girls screamed as they charged toward Johnson and me. I jump forward and started swinging left and right. These girls were stronger than I expected. Their neon colored nails scratched at my skin in fury as I knocked down each one in defense. I caught snippets of Johnson and Marshall slowly circling each other, snarling or growling at each other. I got thrown down to the ground by two girls, and looked up to see Jen glaring down at me smiling. I also noticed the full moon in the night sky. Weird moon since it was hiding behind the clouds. "It's better if you just stay down. I hate chasing and damaging Marshall's food for him," Jen says. "Try me then!" I say as I jump up and kick the girls in the face, then throw a punch at Jen. "You shouldn't have done that." Jen grabbed me by my shirt and threw me into a tree. The pain was excruciating on my back and I felt a small trickle of blood coming from my head but I did not let that stop me. I got back up stumbling and frantically looking around for her. All I saw were the large group of girls getting up slowly, looking confused at how they got out of the park. They all walked away except for one: Jen. She had the look of thirst in her eyes as my blood dripped on the ground. She charged for me but then she disappeared from her spot to land face first into an oak tree. I looked back where she was just running for me to see something I would never expected to see. It stood on its hind legs, grayish black fur shining and panting wildly. It made the highest piercing howl I ever heard in my life. And then it looked at me with such beautiful eyes. A werewolf. I felt a cold hand that gently wiped some of the blood from my head, and I watched Marshall as he brought it to his mouth and licked his fingers clean of my blood. His eyes closed to savor the flavor, and he opened them to blood shot eyes. "Delicious." A whoosh of wind passed by me as the werewolf head-butted Marshall in the stomach, throwing him into a small creek. The werewolf passed out beside me. I immediately noticed the werewolf's right leg, seeing some blood oozing out of a crescent shaped mark. A bite mark. Marshall got up and looked at himself drenched in water. "You will pay for that good friend!" Marshall growled. I looked down at the werewolf in pity, and then became angry. Why would Marshall hurt this wild creature? Why would it protect me from Jen and Marshall? Where was Johnson? And then it all clicked. Johnson. Werewolf. What. The. Fuck. Johnson, my now new boyfriend, is a werewolf. A pretty colored werewolf. A werewolf that is hurt quite badly. "Johnson?" I whisper quietly. The werewolf looks at me with such a sad face. I knew it was him. Those eyes, so soft and precious. I slowly approached him and knelt down to touch his fur, when his eyes sparked in rage and swiped towards me. I ducked as his huge paw and claws slapped at Jen, who was lunging for me at the same moment. But he couldn't stop his claws from ripping out some of my back. I screamed in pain as his claws ripped my clothes and some of the skin on my back. I fell limp to the ground, shaking from the severe throbbing from my back. I started to go into shock and I heard voices surround me, realizing it was some of the guys of the bands. "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU MARSHALL?" Singer screamed. "LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!" "You guys she's bleeding pretty badly," Cash said to me closest. "This is not good." "Has Johnson calmed down yet?" Bryan asked. "We need him ASAP!" "I did nothing but simply hunt for my meal. She was in the way," Marshall calmly said. "Dude, we all know you've wanted her the whole night!" Singer shouts. "And now she's hurt severely." "It's worse than that," I heard Johnson's shaking voice say. "I scratched her. I hate myself." "Johnson, you are not to blame for this. You were protecting her," Cash said. "Marshall and Jen is the true blame. I want Jen off this tour this instant!" "Not happening!" Marshall sneered. "Siobahn shouldn't have been so appealing." "I will deal with you later!" Johnson shouted. "You are the reason why Siobahn will be doomed forever!" "Calm down man," Singer said quietly. "You don't want to change now. Why would she be doomed?" "It doesn't matter. One bite, one horrifying scratch... it doesn't matter. I had to go through it and now she does too." "What are you talking about?" Bryan asked. "Siobahn... she's doomed to be like me. She's doomed to be a werewolf."
